Patria Investments claimed Fund Manager of the Year at the Infrastructure Investor Awards 2025, closing its fifth flagship fund at $2.9 billion, exceeding its $2.5 billion target. The Brazil-based firm's latest raise makes Patria Infrastructure Fund V the largest ever infrastructure fund exclusively focused on Latin America.

Global Infrastructure Partners, now part of BlackRock, won Energy Transition Investor of the Year after acquiring 70 percent of Alianca Energia from Vale for $1 billion. The renewable energy platform includes seven hydro plants, six wind farms, and one solar facility. Meanwhile, Patria Investments secured financing for Colombia's largest solar park, Puerta de Oro at 358MW, and acquired toll road concession Concesión Pacífico Tres.

La Caisse's acquisition of Equatorial Transmissão won Deal of the Year, valued at C$2.29 billion including C$1.26 billion in equity. The transmission business operates seven power lines spanning 2,430km across four Brazilian states. Emmanuel Jaclot, La Caisse's head of infrastructure, cited Brazil's stable regulatory framework as driving the firm's appetite for the power transmission sector.
