Clifford Capital Asset Management (CCAM) is preparing to launch an opportunistic infrastructure credit fund, marking the first vehicle under its Energy Transition Acceleration Finance partnership. The initiative has already secured $345m in investor commitments toward a $600m target, signaling strong early appetite for energy transition-focused credit strategies.

The fund aims to capitalize on dislocation in infrastructure financing, particularly across renewable energy, grid modernization, and decarbonization projects. CCAM's approach blends senior and mezzanine debt with equity co-investments, targeting mid-market assets in developed markets.

Industry sources note the raise comes amid a challenging fundraising environment, where infrastructure debt funds have outperformed equity peers. The $345m first close represents over 57% of the target, with final close expected within 12 months.

The partnership structure leverages CCAM's credit expertise alongside strategic advisors focused on energy transition policy and technology assessment.
