Altaris announced it will acquire the Life Sciences & Healthcare business (LS&H) from Clarivate for $600 million. The deal includes the Cortellis and Decision Resources Group portfolios, which together form an AI-enabled data intelligence products and services business that supports R&D and commercialization decisions for pharmaceutical, biotechnology and medical technology companies.

Altaris, founded in 2002 and based in New York, seeks control and minority equity investments exclusively in healthcare. The firm targets companies within the life sciences/pharmaceutical, provider services and non-reimbursement healthcare industries, and it remains flexible in its investment sizes. This strategic focus positions Altaris to capture growth in the evolving healthcare analytics market.

The transaction is expected to close in the second half of 2026, after which LS&H will operate as an independent company. Upon completion, the business will retain its AI-enabled capabilities and continue to serve pharmaceutical, biotechnology and medical technology clients.

Altaris's acquisition underscores its commitment to expanding its healthcare equity portfolio while providing Clarivate a focused exit from its non‑core life sciences operations. The combined entity aims to deliver enhanced data-driven insights to pharmaceutical and biotech sectors. This move aligns with Altaris's strategy to drive value through specialized healthcare data solutions.
