OpenAI has secured $110 billion in new funding at an $840 billion post-money valuation, marking the largest venture capital deal in history. The financing comes from SoftBank and Nvidia, each contributing $30 billion, with Amazon providing the largest share at $50 billion. Additional investors are expected to join as the round progresses.

This latest raise surpasses OpenAI's own previous record of a $40 billion funding round in 2025 and exceeds rival Anthropic's $30 billion Series G round at a $380 billion valuation. The new valuation increases the OpenAI Foundation's stake in the company to over $180 billion. The company has also announced strategic partnerships with Amazon and expanded its collaboration with Nvidia for next-generation inference compute.

OpenAI now claims more than 900 million weekly active users and over 50 million consumer subscribers, with January and February 2026 on track to be the company's largest months for new subscribers. CEO Sam Altman emphasized that this funding will enable OpenAI to scale infrastructure rapidly to meet growing global demand for AI products.
