Spotify has announced a new feature allowing users to exclude kids' and family music from their taste profile, preventing it from influencing personalized recommendations like Discover Weekly, Daily Mix, and Wrapped. The toggle, rolling out now on iOS and Android, ensures that streams from animated movies, nursery rhymes, and family TV shows no longer skew algorithmic suggestions. Users can still search for and playlist this content, but it won't count toward their listening history or year-end Wrapped statistics.

Notably, the setting applies retroactively, removing past kids' music from top song and artist calculations. To enable it, navigate to Settings and privacy via the profile picture, select Content and display, and switch off "Include kids and family music in taste profile." Spotify notes changes may take up to 48 hours to reflect in recommendations.
