Canadian carrier Public Mobile has launched a limited-time flash sale, cutting its 5G Canada-U.S.-Mexico plans by 50% for two years. New customers can get 60GB of data for $20 per month through January 26. The deal also includes unlimited calling and texting across North America.

As a prepaid subsidiary of Telus, Public Mobile operates without credit checks and allows cancellation at any time. However, customers may face network deprioritization in busy areas compared to major carriers like Bell or Rogers. The plans cap 5G speeds at 250 Mbps before throttling to 512 Kbps after the data allowance is used.

This aggressive pricing highlights the intense competition in Canada's wireless market, where data costs have historically been high. While the flash sale targets new activations only, it pressures rivals to offer more competitive bundles. Consumers should verify coverage in their area, as network performance can vary significantly by location.
