Apple's upcoming iPhone 18e will primarily focus on a chip upgrade with few major new features, according to leaker Fixed Focus Digital. In a Weibo post, the leaker confirmed only a new chip for the device and noted the standard iPhone 18 and iPhone 18e will share manufacturing processes.
Fixed Focus Digital referenced their correct prediction that the iPhone 17e would retain a notch despite rumors of Dynamic Island, hinting the iPhone 18e may also miss the feature. Fellow leaker Digital Chat Station reported the iPhone 18e will feature an A20 chip, a 6.12-inch OLED display with 60Hz refresh rate, and a single 48-megapixel rear camera, with a possible front camera upgrade.
The A20 is expected to resemble the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone Duo's A20 Pro chip but with one fewer GPU core. The iPhone 18e is slated to launch alongside the standard iPhone 18 and iPhone Air 2 in spring 2027.
