Apple announced the retirement of Lisa Jackson, its Vice President of Environment, Policy, and Social Initiatives, after 13 years. Her departure from the leadership page marks the end of a tenure that began in 2013. Jackson reported directly to CEO Tim Cook and was a visible figure in Apple's environmental messaging.

Jackson's leadership was central to Apple's push for carbon neutrality across its entire supply chain by 2030. She oversaw renewable energy initiatives that reduced global greenhouse emissions by over 60% since 2015. She also led the Racial Equity and Justice Initiative and managed Apple's worldwide Government Affairs team.

Cook credited Jackson as instrumental in engaging governments and advocating for user interests. Following her retirement, the Environment and Social Initiatives teams will report to operations chief Sabih Khan, while Government Affairs shifts to Apple's general counsel. Jackson previously served as EPA Administrator under President Obama.
