Apple's first quarter wrapped with the company's 50th anniversary celebration, but the tech giant's product pipeline remains packed with major releases. Bloomberg's Mark Gurman described the upcoming foldable iPhone as "the most significant overhaul in the iPhone's history," positioning it as a book-style device with a large inner screen for multitasking. The foldable iPhone is expected to launch alongside the iPhone 18 Pro lineup in September, though shipping may be delayed.

iOS 26.5 beta 1 arrived this week with minor updates, as the much-anticipated Siri overhaul powered by Apple Intelligence has been pushed to iOS 27. Meanwhile, Apple is reportedly planning a 24-inch iMac with OLED display featuring 600 nits brightness and 218 PPI, surpassing the current model's 500-nit LCD. The company also previewed plans for 15+ new products this year, including a MacBook Pro with OLED display and a long-awaited smart home hub.

Apple marked its 50th anniversary with a star-studded celebration at Apple Park, headlined by a Paul McCartney concert. Employees received commemorative t-shirts, enamel pins, and limited-edition posters. Additionally, leaked images suggest the iPhone 18 Pro will feature a significantly smaller Dynamic Island, with a relocated Face ID sensor revealed through prototype photos.
