Apple has added an unreleased iPad mini Smart Folio to its French regulatory website, suggesting a new model is imminent. The A3632 model number differs from all previous iPad mini cases, hinting at design changes. The listing appeared alongside iPhone 18 Pro accessories added in September.
Notably, the current Smart Folio has been used for both the iPad mini 6 and iPad mini 7 since 2021, so a new case implies the upcoming device will have a different form factor. Industry rumors point to an iPad mini 8 featuring an OLED display and improved water resistance, expected to launch on October 27 or 28 alongside an OLED MacBook Pro. This new case could be specifically designed for that OLED variant.
