Apple is expanding its Apple Sports app to dozens of additional countries across the Caribbean and Latin America, including Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, the Dominican Republic, Jamaica, and Peru. The free app, which first launched in the U.S., Canada, and U.K. in February 2024, now brings scores, stats, standings, and upcoming games to a broader international audience.

The expansion includes support for six new Latin men's soccer leagues: Campeonato Brasileiro Série A, Categoría Primera A, Liga de Primera, Liga Pro, Liga Profesional de Fútbol, and Primera División del Perú. Apple has also added a dedicated "Soccer" category in the app's search section to organize these leagues. Additionally, the app now offers real-time tracking of men's and women's NCAA tournaments with interactive brackets.

These updates arrive in version 3.8, available now in the App Store. The expansion follows the app's previous rollout to Europe and Mexico, demonstrating Apple's strategy to build a global sports platform. By adding popular regional leagues and major tournaments like the NCAA, Apple is positioning the Sports app as a comprehensive destination for fans worldwide, competing with established sports apps while leveraging its ecosystem integration.
