Apple has released tvOS 26.6, the sixth update to its tvOS operating system. This update is available for the Apple TV 4K and follows the release of tvOS 26.5 two months prior.

Users can download tvOS 26.6 through the Settings app on their Apple TV by navigating to System > Software Update. Those with automatic software updates enabled will receive the update automatically.

During the beta testing phase, no new features were identified for tvOS 26.6, suggesting the update primarily focuses on bug fixes and performance enhancements. Apple provides detailed release notes for its tvOS updates on its official website. Earlier reports from July 2026 also mentioned the release of beta versions of tvOS 26.6 alongside watchOS 26.6 and visionOS 26.6.
