Apple today released a new beta of macOS Tahoe 26.6.2, available to developers and public beta testers. The beta follows the recent release of macOS Tahoe 26.6.1, a security update.

Developers and public beta testers can download the software via System Settings > Software Updates. According to Apple's release notes, macOS Tahoe 26.6.2 includes security fixes for the Mac.

The prior update, macOS 26.6.1, addressed a vulnerability allowing attackers to authenticate to Screen Sharing without valid credentials. This article previously stated macOS 26.6.2 had been fully released, but it is currently in beta.

The macOS Tahoe 26.6.2 beta is the latest in a series of incremental updates, coming just days after 26.6.1 and following the broader Tahoe 26.6 release.
