Apple has published the estimated service costs for its new Home View smart home display, available for pre-order with shipments starting November 13.
Users can choose between two models: Apple Home View and Apple Home View (Wall Mounted). Both cost $299, but the wall-mounted model doesn't include a wall mount or power adapter.
Out-of-warranty repairs could cost nearly as much as a new unit. According to Apple, the estimated service cost for either model is $279, listed under "Other damage." There's currently no breakdown for specific issues like a cracked screen or faulty speaker.
For units covered by Apple Care, the accidental damage service fee is $39, regardless of model or type of damage. Apple hasn't confirmed whether these fees cover full-unit replacements or individual component repairs.
