With iOS 27 ready, Apple can finally launch new smart‑home gear. Rumored releases this year include a next‑gen Apple TV 4K, a versatile smart‑home hub, refreshed HomePod and HomePod mini.

The hub, about the size of an iPad with a 7‑inch square display, will mount on a wall or sit on a speaker base that echoes the iMac G4 dome. It’ll feature a camera for video calls, facial recognition and presence detection, run apps like Safari and Home, and integrate with Siri AI. Price is expected around $350.

The new Apple TV 4K will keep its current form but likely sport an A17 Pro chip or better, supporting Apple Intelligence, Siri AI, more RAM, and an N1 networking chip for Wi‑Fi 7, Bluetooth 6 and Thread.

HomePods receive faster processors and an upgraded Ultra Wideband chip, improving sound and connectivity, while the altered HomePod mini may arrive in new colors. Apple is also developing its own security camera, leveraging iOS 27 HomeKit Secure Video 4K recording and AI summaries, which would dovetail with the upcoming hub.
