Qualcomm is set to unveil its next-generation Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 chips this September. Rumors suggest Xiaomi will be the first manufacturer to equip its flagship Xiaomi 14 series with these new processors, aiming to replicate its success with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 last year. The new chips will feature advanced Oryon CPU cores and upgraded Adreno GPUs.

The Xiaomi 14 series will reportedly include three models: the 14 Pro Max, 14 Pro, and the standard 14. The Pro Max could feature two 200MP cameras, including a large LOFIC sensor. The Pro variant might sport a larger rear display and a privacy screen. The base 14 model will offer a 6.4-inch screen and a substantial 7,200mAh battery.

Pricing will dictate chip allocation, with the top-tier Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro, potentially costing around $300, reserved for the Pro Max. The 14 Pro and 18 Pro Max are expected to launch in September, with the standard 14 following in October, aiming to capture early market share with the latest mobile silicon.
