Leakage from tipster Digital Chat Station shows vivo’s X500 Pro will receive a major camera overhaul. It will carry a 50 MP 1/1.28‑inch primary sensor with LOFIC, a 50 MP ultrawide lens, and a 64 MP 1/2‑inch periscope offering 3× optical zoom. Sony’s new IMX06H sensor powers the periscope module.

The phone is slated to run a 2 nm Dimensity 9600‑series SoC, putting it in the same performance tier as Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. Retaining the 64 MP periscope while reserving a rumored 200 MP telephoto sensor for the X500 Pro Max suggests vivo is segmenting its lineup to cover both flagship and ultra‑premium niches.

The X500 family—comprising the base X500, X500 Pro, X500 Pro Max and X500e—targets an October launch. Early pricing leaks list a 512 GB/16 GB variant at roughly €1,399 and a 256 GB/12 GB model near $765, positioning the Pro against other high‑end Android cameras. Vivo’s aggressive specs indicate a clear bid to challenge the market’s current leaders.

By equipping the X500 Pro with a periscope lens and a top‑tier chipset, vivo aims to attract power‑users who prioritize zoom and processing speed. If the Oct release confirms these details, the X500 Pro could force rivals to raise sensor counts and adopt newer 2 nm processes to stay competitive.
