The upcoming vivo X500 has been spotted in the Geekbench database with model number V2609 A, achieving a single-core score of 2,694 and a multi-core score of 7,770 in Geekbench 6.7.1 for Android. The device is powered by a MediaTek chipset that could be the newly announced Dimensity 9600 M or the previous year's Dimensity 9500, as the differences between them are minimal. The prototype tested featured 12GB of RAM, though vivo may offer other configurations at launch. One confirmed detail is that the X500 will ship with Android 17 out of the box, running Origin OS 7 on top.

While the X500 Pro and X500 Pro Max have already been confirmed to use the Dimensity 9600 Pro SoC, MediaTek's current flagship, the standard X500 uses a lesser chipset to maintain a lower price point. This creates a clear chipset schism within the X500 lineup.

The trio of devices—the X500, X500 Pro, and X500 Pro Max—will be officially unveiled in China on September 21.
