Sony recently announced a launch event for August 25, starting at 11 AM local time. The company stated it will feature a new Xperia product but did not reveal its name. Industry sources expect the device to be the Xperia 10 VIII, which was recently spotted on Geekbench and has now appeared in an official-looking image shared by Android Headlines.

The leaked image shows a design almost identical to its predecessor, the Xperia 10 VII. It displays a dual-camera setup placed inside a horizontally aligned camera island sporting the Sony logo, with an NFC logo visible below. On the right side frame are the volume rocker and power button, doubling as a fingerprint scanner. A physical camera shutter previously sat below the power key, but its retention remains uncertain.

From the image alone, specifications are limited, but Geekbench data confirms it will run Android 16 and house the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 SoC. The benchmarked unit featured 8GB of RAM, matching the single configuration of the previous model. Further details are expected ahead of next week's event.
