Samsung is set to upgrade its Privacy Display technology for the upcoming Galaxy S27 Pro and S27 Ultra, according to a new Sam Mobile report. The feature, first introduced on the Galaxy S26 Ultra earlier this year, will be enhanced on the next-generation flagship devices. Reports indicate these models will feature improved display brightness, making screens more readable under direct sunlight.
While the Galaxy S26 Ultra launched with Privacy Display, previous speculation suggested the standard S27 and S27+ would also include the feature, though multiple sources now confirm they will not. The upgraded Privacy Display aims to prevent shoulder surfing by limiting viewing angles, a privacy concern increasingly important for flagship smartphone users. Samsung continues to refine its display technology, balancing privacy enhancements with usability in various lighting conditions.
The company has not officially confirmed the specifications, but the rumor mill suggests a significant improvement over the current implementation found on the S26 Ultra.
