Samsung’s Galaxy Event August 2026 is this Thursday and will bring the new Galaxy S26 FE. Additionally, we think that Samsung will update its flagship Galaxy Tab S series with two new models. Here is what we know (and think we know) so far.

New phone, new Exynos Well, new for the series – the Samsung Galaxy S26 FE will use the Exynos 2500. The S24 FE used a cut-down Exynos 2400e, while the S25 FE used the regular Exynos 2400. We’ve seen the new chipset confirmed by the Google Play Console.

We’ve also seen what it can do in early Geekbench scores, but there’s no need to be sneaky about it – just check out the Performance section of our Galaxy Z Flip7 review (this is, so far, the only Exynos 2500-powered phone on the market). We haven’t heard anything about a memory upgrade – the previous S FE models came with 8GB of RAM and 128/256/512GB storage and we don’t expect things to change this year. Not with the current memory prices.

The Galaxy S26 FE will use the Exynos 2500 The same display and body as last year The S26 FE will use the same display as its predecessor – a 6.7” OLED with 1080p+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. We’ve seen this panel on previous FE models and even on the likes of the Galaxy A57. The phone has an aluminum frame – Armor Aluminum most likely – and a pane of Gorilla Glass Victus+ over the OLED display.

The body will measure 7.4mm (same as last year) and will be rated IP68 (ditto). Samsung Galaxy S26 FE colors: Blueberry • Graphite • Pistachio New Samsung Galaxy S26 FE leaked renders The same(-ish) battery too Anatel (Brazil’s National Telecommunications Agency) revealed that the Galaxy S26 FE will have a 4,900m Ah battery, just like its predecessor.

This might have been a good time to introduce a Si/C cell, but we guess that’s reserved for more premium models. Additionally, the charging specs remain the same – 45W (as either 15V/3A or 10V/4.5A) over a wire and (presumably) 15W wireless. The Galaxy S26 FE will have a 4,900m Ah battery with 45W charging The European certification did reveal that this is a new battery, though, or at least a different 4,900m Ah cell – it’s only rated for 1,200 charge cycles (before battery health drops below 80%), while the S25 FE and S24 FE batteries were rated for 2,000 cycles.

This data promises better endurance, though, saying that the phone will last up to 50 hours on a single charge, compared to the 42 hours or so that the two previous models got. We imagine that this has more to do with the more efficient chipset than the battery itself. Old camera, new tricks Based on the leaks we’ve seen so far, there will be only minor changes to the camera hardware.

This means that the S26 FE will be equipped with a 50MP main, an 8MP telephoto (almost certainly with a 3x lens) and a 12MP ultra-wide. This plus a 12MP selfie camera. Some sensors may be different, but nothing sounds like it would have a major effect on image quality.

For example, Horizon Lock was introduced with the Galaxy S26 series earlier this year – it automatically levels your video even as you move around. The My Fan Cam app, which made its debut with the Galaxy Z8 foldables, also controls scene framing.

This one works after the fact – it takes ultra-wide video and tracks a person to keep them in the frame. You can change who gets tracked (if there are multiple people in the scene) and the output aspect ratio. Finally, Audio Eraser can automatically remove other people talking, wind noise and other annoying sounds from your recorded videos.
