The Samsung Galaxy A18 has surfaced on Geekbench, revealing its hardware configuration. The device, model SM-A185G, is powered by MediaTek’s MT6789 octa‑core chip, also known as the Helio G99, the same processor used in the Galaxy A17 4G.

The tested unit featured 4GB RAM and ran Android 17 with One UI 9, scoring 745 points in single‑core and 2,073 points in multi‑core tests. A second 4G variant, SM-A185F, is also expected to share the Helio G99 SoC.

Design renders show an Infinity‑U notched display and a vertically aligned triple‑camera setup. Samsung plans to mass‑produce 100,000 units in August, followed by 2.4 million in September and 2.5 million in October, with the 5G version pending Qualcomm’s readiness.

Although an official announcement has not been made, the leak confirms the Galaxy A18 will retain the Helio G99 chip from its predecessor while offering modest upgrades in camera and display design, positioning it as a mid‑range option for late‑2024 buyers.
