Six months after launching the RedMagic 11 series, ZTE nubia introduces the refreshed 11S Pro with modest hardware upgrades. The gaming-focused smartphone swaps its predecessor's Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 SM8850-AC for the more powerful SM8850-1-AD variant, which was previously exclusive to Samsung's Galaxy S26 Ultra. This chipset delivers higher clock speeds on the Oryon V3 Phoenix L cores and Adreno 840 GPU.

The device maintains familiar specs including a 6.85-inch AMOLED display with 144Hz refresh rate, dual 50MP rear cameras, and a substantial 7,500 mAh battery supporting 80W wired and wireless charging. Notable features include pressure-sensitive zones, built-in cooling fan, and liquid cooling system. The transparent glass back design returns alongside IPX8 water resistance and stereo speakers.

RedMagic ships the European model with an 80W fast charger in the box, which is a nice touch for a gaming phone. The device runs Android 16 with Redmagic OS 11.5. While the chipset upgrade seems incremental, it could improve sustained performance and battery efficiency during intensive gaming sessions.

The 11S Pro targets mobile gamers who want maximum performance in a dedicated gaming form factor. With its aggressive cooling solution and high-refresh display, the phone competes against ASUS ROG and Xiaomi Black Shark lineups. The Snapdragon shift suggests Qualcomm is expanding its premium chip distribution beyond Samsung exclusivity.
