John Ternus will host an Apple event as CEO for the first time on September 9. The event is expected to introduce the iPhone 18 Pro, 18 Pro Max, and Apple’s first foldable, the iPhone Ultra. Based on unconfirmed info, pre-orders start two days later on Friday.

The iPhone Ultra was spotted on Vodafone Egypt by Yousif Ayman at EGP 155,750. Compared to the iPhone 17 Pro Max at EGP 94,400, that’s 65% more. Applying that to the 17 Pro Max’s $1,200 launch price gives a prediction of $1,980. The Galaxy Z Fold8 launched at $1,900, so US prices are close.

Another leak from @ev_downunder reports the 256GB Ultra at AUD 3,700, 512GB at AUD 4,200, and 1TB at AUD 4,700. That’s 68% more than the 256GB 17 Pro Max at AUD 2,200, matching the 65% ratio. The base Ultra will likely get a $2,000 price tag.

Vodafone Egypt also listed the iPhone 18 Pro at EGP 98,000 and Pro Max at EGP 105,000, translating to a 10% and 11% hike. TrendForce estimates the BoM for the 18 Pro is 40% higher, but a $1,200 price would be good news. Actual prices come Wednesday.
