Huawei unveiled the MatePad Air (2026) at a recent event in Malaysia. This updated tablet features a 12-inch OLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate and Huawei's PaperMatte coating, designed to reduce reflections and mimic a paper-like feel, ideal for reading.

The MatePad Air (2026) is powered by the Kirin T93C SoC, paired with either 8GB or 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. It includes AI-powered Pro features, a 50MP main rear camera, and a 12MP front camera. The tablet boasts a 10,100 mAh battery with 66W fast charging.

Despite its 12-inch screen, the device is notably thin at 5.3mm and weighs 509 grams, a reduction from its predecessor. It supports accessories like a detachable keyboard and the M-Pencil Pro, which offers smart features such as Air Mouse functionality.
