Apple has confirmed device compatibility for its upcoming operating system updates. iOS 27 will support iPhone SE (2nd gen), iPhone 11 series, and newer models, maintaining backward compatibility with all iOS 26 devices. However, select Apple Intelligence features including new Siri AI capabilities will remain limited to specific iPhone models, creating a tiered user experience.

For iPad users, iPadOS 27 will arrive on the iPad mini (6th gen) and newer devices, including models with A17 Pro and M2 chips. The update extends to iPad Pro with M4 or newer chips. macOS 27 Golden Gate will power Apple silicon Macs from 2020 onward, with the newly introduced MacBook Neo joining the supported device list.

watchOS 27 will be available on Apple Watch SE 3, Series 9 and newer models, plus Watch Ultra 2 and 3. This broad support across Apple's ecosystem reflects the company's strategy to extend software updates to devices for at least five years, maintaining device value and encouraging ecosystem loyalty.
