Microsoft’s Xbox brand is marking its 25th anniversary with a limited‑edition Series X25 Limited Edition console in translucent OG Green. The unit retains the standard Series X hardware—an AMD Zen 2 CPU, RDNA 2 GPU and 1 TB of internal storage—but sports a see‑through chassis and a green‑lit “X” button. Xbox also offers a matching Xbox Wireless Controller X25 Special Edition, sold either bundled or solo.

The translucent design draws directly from the original Xbox’s iconic green hue, a nod that long‑time fans will recognize. VP of Next Generation Jason Ronald said the console “respects our history” while delivering the same performance as the current Series X. Both hardware pieces feature subtle Easter eggs for the community, though Microsoft has yet to reveal pricing or exact regional rollout details.

The collection launches in November, limited to select markets, and will be sold through Microsoft’s online store and authorized retailers. By pairing nostalgia with top‑tier specs, the edition aims to capture collectors and gamers who value heritage hardware. Its release underscores Xbox’s strategy of leveraging anniversaries to boost brand loyalty without altering the core product lineup.
