The Xbox app has been rolling out to Hisense and other VIDAA OS-powered TVs released between 2024 and 2026, allowing owners to play Xbox games via Game Pass without a console. Microsoft says it continues bringing Xbox to more devices people already own, especially for those who may not afford dedicated gaming hardware. The app previously launched on Samsung TVs, LG TVs, and Amazon Fire TV devices over the last four years.

To play, you need a Game Pass subscription — any tier except PC-only. Essential costs $10 monthly, Premium $15, and Ultimate $23 for access to over 500 games including select new titles at launch. Streaming requires an internet connection and an official Xbox controller or Bluetooth alternative. Xbox is also testing free streaming of owned games for Insiders.

VIDAA OS, developed by Hisense, is also used by Toshiba and some European brands. If the app hasn't appeared, Microsoft says rollout continues; ensure your TV has the latest software and check the Games section from the Home screen.
