A new FCC filing spotted by Lowpass suggests that Sonos is planning a product launch in September. One potential unveiling is a pair of headphones called the "Ace Ultra." While the filing is heavily redacted, the Ace Ultra appears to feature an over-ear design similar to the original Sonos Ace launched in 2024.

Unlike its predecessor, the Ace Ultra may be available in five colors: Greige, Shadow Black, Agave, Blush, and Sand. The filing also hinted that the device will support Sonos Voice Control. As Sonos CEO Thomas Conrad noted, the company is making AI a core part of its business strategy, meaning these headphones could tap into current and future AI features.

This follows a challenging period for the Sonos Ace, which faced app compatibility issues and delayed spatial audio features. However, the Ace Ultra represents Sonos' push toward an AI-enabled ecosystem where home audio devices communicate and work together as a cohesive system.
