XLR microphone owners can now record on the go with Shure's new MVX2U Gen 2 Digital Audio Interface. The successor to the MVX2U adds mobile device compatibility, breaking free from desktop-only limitations. This compact adapter maintains the same single-channel design while expanding where you can use your XLR mics.

The Gen 2 delivers +60dB of gain and 48V phantom power for professional microphones. Shure upgraded the onboard audio processing with auto-level mode, real-time denoiser, and a pop filter they call the "Popper Stopper." The company also improved the noise floor, headphone amp, and DAC for better sound quality.

A standout feature is the adapter's ability to store your last-used audio processing settings, eliminating the need to reconfigure when switching between devices or software. The MVX2U Gen 2 ships with a 1m USB-C to USB-C cable and is available now for $139 from Shure's website, making professional XLR recording accessible on phones, tablets, and computers.
