Engadget's latest indie game roundup highlights six new titles worth checking out this weekend. The Video Game History Foundation also unveiled a treasure trove of E3 archival materials, including the only-known footage of the Sega Saturn reveal and Sony's 1995 PlayStation price announcement.

Dinoblade from Team Spino and Boltray Games puts players in control of a sword-wielding Spinosaurus in an action RPG that began as a viral animation by Jean Nguyen. Despite some jank, its combat feels slick. Offbeat from Whetstone Games is a music creation game where you fulfill client briefs using quirky instruments like a singing gnome; creations save as WAV files.

Fading Echo by Emeteria features elemental water manipulation on a desert planet, voiced by Samantha Béart, Laura Bailey, and Matt Mercer. Scarlet Deer Inn from husband-and-wife studio Attu Games uses physical embroidery for its dark medieval folk tale visuals and runs 1.5–2.5 hours. Lifted from Adventure Works offers a time-travel adventure reminiscent of *Back to the Future* in about three hours.

Finally, Tears of Metal from Paper Cult delivers a hack-and-slash roguelite set in medieval Scotland with online co-op, also on PC Game Pass. Most titles are discounted 10% on Steam through late July.
