Microsoft's head of Experiences + Devices, Rajesh Jha, is retiring after more than 35 years at the company. The veteran executive, who oversaw critical products including Windows, Office, and Teams, announced his departure in a press release alongside CEO Satya Nadella. Jha said he's been planning his succession for some time, marking another high-profile exit at the tech giant.

Rather than appointing a direct replacement, Microsoft is restructuring Jha's division. Four senior leaders will be promoted to executive vice president and report directly to Nadella. The new appointees include Office EVP Ryan Roslanksky, Windows and Surface president Pavan Davuluri, president of business and industry Copilot Charles Lamanna, and Microsoft 365 Core chief Perry Clarke.

Jha will officially transition out of Microsoft on July 1 and will remain in an advisory role afterward. In a statement, Nadella praised Jha as standing "firmly among" the leaders who shaped Microsoft, calling him a "constant" during his own tenure. The outgoing executive described his career at Microsoft as "an incredible privilege." This departure follows last month's exit of Xbox chief Phil Spencer and his successor Sarah Bond, highlighting a period of significant leadership changes at the Redmond-based company.
