JBL has released its most powerful and expensive Party Box speaker to date, the $1,800 Party Box Ultimate 2. This massive speaker delivers 1,500 watts of sound, surpassing the previous 800-watt Party Box 720 model. Standing 41.4 inches tall and weighing 120 pounds, the unit features wheels and a handle for portability despite its refrigerator-like weight.
The audio setup includes dual pro-grade PEN tweeters, dual five-inch mid-range drivers, and dual 10-inch woofers for immersive sound. A key feature is the AI Sound Boost technology, which promises clarity and low distortion at any volume. For visual entertainment, the speaker includes a party-oriented light show with ripple-wave effects, multi-layer lighting, and floor projection.
The AI Vocal Removal feature is designed for karaoke enthusiasts. Connectivity options are extensive, featuring Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 6.0, Auracast, AirPlay, Chromecast, and Spotify Connect. An optical input and XLR line-in port cater to TV and DJ setups.
The Party Box Ultimate 2 is currently available for pre-order at $1,800, with shipping scheduled for October 25, 2026.
