iRobot introduced the Roomba Electro Plus, its first non-robotic floor cleaner. This cordless, human-operated device combines vacuuming, mopping, and disinfecting without detergents. It uses tap water and an electrical current to create hypochlorous acid, which iRobot claims kills 99.99 percent of bacteria, fungi, viruses, and germs. The Electro Plus is designed for hard floors and is safe for children and pets.

The device features a Therma Clean dock that automatically washes, dries, and sanitizes the mop. It also incorporates iRobot's Power Spin Roller Mop and Dirt Detect system for deeper cleaning when needed. The Electro Plus offers up to 35 minutes of cordless operation, capable of cleaning approximately 1,292 square feet on a single charge. It is available for purchase today at $400.

Alongside the Electro Plus, iRobot also announced several new robot vacuums, including the Roomba Max 775 Combo Robot + Auto Wash Dock for $1,000, which includes LiDAR, 3D mapping, and AI obstacle recognition. Other new robot models range from $600 to $800, featuring LiDAR mapping and auto-wash docks. These announcements come as iRobot seeks to rebuild its business following a Chapter 11 bankruptcy filing.
