Rockstar Games' Grand Theft Auto VI is expected to be a massive time commitment, with co-studio head Rob Nelson reporting an 80-hour playthrough that includes the main story and optional goals. This exceeds the 51.5-hour average for GTA V's main story and side quests, and approaches the 89.5-hour average for completionists in the previous title. The longest recorded GTA V playthrough was 132 hours and 36 minutes on PlayStation 5.

Nelson did not specify how many side quests he completed, but fans aiming for 100% completion should prepare for a significant investment of time. An extended look at the game, released after its Netflix debut, is now available on YouTube and runs nearly 27 minutes, showcasing the fictional state of Leonida, protagonists Jason and Lucia, and various in-game activities. GTA VI launches on November 19 for $80, and Rockstar warns against downloading fake demos from unofficial sites, which are part of a cyber attack campaign distributing infostealer malware designed to steal browser passwords.
