Sony announced during its State of Play presentation that Ghost of Yotei's Legends multiplayer expansion will launch on March 10. The mode, inspired by the popular feature from Ghost of Tsushima, will allow up to four players to team up online and battle demonic versions of the Yotei Six.

Players can choose from four distinct classes - samurai, archer, mercenary, and shinobi - each with unique weapons and abilities. The samurai wields the odachi for sweeping attacks against groups, while all classes share access to katana and bow. The expansion arrives as a free update alongside patch 1.5 for all Ghost of Yotei owners.

At launch, three mission types will be available: survival mode with increasingly difficult enemies, a 12-mission story mode for two players, and incursion mode where teams siege fortresses. Four strongholds will be available initially, with the final bosses added in an April patch. This multiplayer addition follows the successful implementation in Ghost of Tsushima and represents Sony's continued investment in expanding its flagship PlayStation titles with robust post-launch content.
