Dell's new 14S laptop aims to rival Apple's MacBook Neo with a budget-friendly design and solid specifications. The mid-range computer features a 61.2 Whr battery that Dell claims will last all day, powered by an energy-efficient Intel Core 7 processor. Available in four colors like the Neo, the 14S offers two display options: FHD and 2.8K resolution, with RAM up to 16GB and storage up to 1TB.

At just over 2.5 pounds, it's slightly lighter than the MacBook Neo. Dell hasn't released pricing yet but indicates it needs to approach $700 to effectively compete with Apple's entry-level offering. The 14S isn't Dell's first MacBook Neo alternative this year; the company recently refreshed the XPS 13, which also targets Apple's market share with similar specs and strong performance, especially with 16GB RAM.
