At CES 2026, AI products were ubiquitous, with every third booth showcasing new AI innovations, from robotic lawn mowers to humanoid robots and smart locks. However, sustainability products remained sparse, despite a slight increase in the number of sustainability booths. The Sustainability section at the Las Vegas Convention Center expanded to 38 booths, but this growth was partly due to the merging of energy and sustainability categories.

Notable exhibitors included South Korea's largest electric utility company and battery manufacturers, yet the section also included an AI data platform booth, highlighting the overwhelming presence of AI at the event. Among the few sustainable products, companies like Shine Turbine 2.0, Flint battery tech, and Clear Drop's soft plastics compactor showcased innovative solutions. Shine Turbine 2.0 offers a compact, portable wind turbine capable of generating power from light breezes, ideal for camping or emergency situations.

Flint's cellulose batteries are designed to break down in a composting environment, addressing environmental concerns. Clear Drop's compactor transforms soft plastics into bricks, facilitating easier recycling. Despite these promising innovations, the overall representation of sustainability tech at CES 2026 fell short of expectations, indicating a continued focus on consumer electronics over sustainable technologies.
