Apple CarPlay is a convenient way to listen to music or safely use navigation, but it can be a finnicky system that requires occasional troubleshooting.

Start by checking the basics: restart your iPhone, turn your car off and on, and ensure the car’s infotainment screen shows the CarPlay icon. Verify that your vehicle is on Apple’s compatibility list and that Siri is enabled (Settings > Siri & Search). Update to the latest iOS version; updates often fix temporary bugs.

If you use a USB cable, try another port or a fresh data‑rated cable; cheap chargers usually don’t support data transfer. For wireless CarPlay, make sure Bluetooth and Wi‑Fi are active and that the car’s Auto‑join is enabled. In Settings > General > CarPlay, enable “Allow Car Play While Locked” to avoid having to unlock the phone each drive.

If problems persist, remove the car from the list (Forget This Car), optionally update the duel’s firmware, then re‑pair. When all else fails, consider a factory reset of the head unit or contact Apple or the car manufacturer.
