Ugreen NASync DH4300 Plus Review: Easy 4-Bay NAS for Beginners

The Ugreen NASync DH4300 Plus offers a compelling solution for users needing more storage than entry-level two-bay NAS devices provide. This four-bay network attached storage device bridges the gap between beginner-friendly setups and more complex systems, offering up to 120 terabytes of capacity while maintaining ease of use.

Physically, the DH4300 Plus resembles a compact tower rather than traditional NAS designs, with a 6.1-inch by 6.1-inch footprint and 8.5-inch height. The aluminum chassis features a removable top panel for drive access, housing four 3.5-inch drive bays. Connectivity includes USB-C 3.2 Gen 1 on the front, dual USB-A ports on the rear, HDMI 2.0 for 4K 60Hz output, and 2.5 gigabit Ethernet.

The device runs on Ugreen's UGOS Pro operating system and supports various RAID configurations from Basic to RAID 10. During testing with both 4TB Seagate Red and 24TB WD Red Pro drives, the system performed reliably without data transmission concerns that had circulated in early rumors. While lacking M.2 NVMe caching and virtual machine support, the DH4300 Plus excels as an accessible, expandable storage solution for users who want substantial capacity without the complexity of high-end NAS systems.
