Apple is preparing to put Siri AI behind a wait list again when iOS 27 releases this fall. Code discovered in the seventh developer betas of iOS 27, iPadOS 27, and macOS Golden Gate confirms the system will require users to wait their turn to access the updated assistant. This marks the second instance of a Siri AI waitlist this year, following initial developer beta delays after the WWDC keynote.

Unlike previous beta testing, the new implementation includes dynamic wait messages with server-side estimates of queue length. These refresh based on real-time demand and capacity data, providing users with updated timelines on when access will be granted. The operating system can enter the wait list once installed, requiring users to wait their turn before using the overhauled Siri functionality across Apple's upcoming software releases.
