Nvidia boosts Apple Vision Pro streaming with 4K 90fps upgrade

Nvidia's GeForce Now game streaming service has received a major update that makes Apple Vision Pro the best headset for cloud gaming. The latest 2.0.83 update increases frame rates to 90fps and delivers 4K resolution specifically for Apple's headset, outperforming Meta Quest and Pico devices.

GeForce Now works by rendering games on Nvidia's servers and streaming them to users' devices. The service supports Apple Vision Pro through Safari rather than a dedicated app, creating a virtual big-screen experience rather than VR gameplay. Users need Bluetooth controllers like Sony DualShock or Xbox controllers, plus a minimum 15Mbps connection for basic streaming.

The upgrade requires the $19.99 Ultimate plan and a 55Mbps connection for 4K 90fps performance. Nvidia also added H.265 streaming support for better efficiency and expanded HOTAS support for flight simulators. While GeForce Now offers convenience without needing a gaming PC, alternatives like ALVR and iVRy enable VR gaming from personal computers.
