Nintendo announced Pictonico, an iOS game launching May 28 that transforms personal photos into minigames reminiscent of WarioWare. The app allows users to take photos or use existing ones from their Photo Library, which are then altered to create interactive gameplay experiences. Nintendo emphasizes privacy by confirming photos remain on device and aren't sent to servers.

Pictonico features 80 minigames across normal, high-speed, and danger zone difficulty levels that increase as players progress. The game was co-developed with Intelligent Systems, the studio behind the WarioWare series. Players can experience three minigames for free, with full access requiring purchase of Volume 1 ($7.99) and Volume 2 ($5.99) content packs.

The new title represents Nintendo's continued expansion into mobile gaming while maintaining its signature quirky gameplay style. By transforming personal photos into interactive experiences, Pictonico offers a unique social gaming element that differentiates it from other mobile offerings. The game is now available for pre-order on the App Store ahead of its May 28 release.
