Attendees to the September 9 iPhone 18 Pro event are being invited to warm up the night before, with a fun walk, run, or wheelchair lap at Apple Park.

Apple has just confirmed that its September special event titled "Surprise and shine" will be taking place on September 9. However, for those who turn up the night before, they get to take part in another activity.

Attendees to the Wednesday event are being invited to take part in a "Welcome Run, Walk, or Roll" on the evening of September 8. Hosted by the Apple Fitness+ team, the registration explains that it will take place around the Apple Park Ring.

The event will take place at 5 P.M. Pacific time and last for an hour. Participants can choose their pace and distance, up to three laps around the ring or 3 miles. It is typical for those attending Apple's major events to arrive at least the day before so they can make an early start for the next day's festivities. A small event the evening before a major event is unusual, but could serve to be a good brand activation exercise for Apple. And, a good networking opportunity for the attendees. While it may be the case that Apple has something fitness-related or a new Apple Watch for the September 9 show itself, it's unlikely Apple will spoil that in a pre-event preview like this.
