Apple has released iOS 26.6, a significant update addressing over 75 security enhancements. This update is crucial for protecting user data from various exploits, including those targeting iPhone Mirroring and Siri.

Among the fixes are 14 kernel-related vulnerabilities that previously allowed apps to cause system terminations or access sensitive user data. Apple has resolved these through improved memory handling, management, and state management techniques. The update also prevents attackers from exploiting an Accessibility issue in iPhone Mirroring and secures App Store and Front Board functions.

Furthermore, iOS 26.6 enhances data protection for Game Center, resolves vulnerabilities in Managed Configuration and Workout Kit, and removes vulnerable Siri code to prevent information disclosure. It also addresses issues with the Contacts app, preventing data leaks and unauthorized contact additions. The update includes fixes for Driver Kit and Wi-Fi, protecting data on locked devices, and prevents denial-of-service attacks and unauthorized root access through Media Remote and Apple Books. Several other patches address Model I/O, Scene I/O, and sandbox escapes for Game Center and libc.

In addition to these core system improvements, iOS 26.6 includes eight Web Kit fixes to enhance web browsing security, preventing sandbox escapes, UI spoofing, and denial-of-service attacks. Updates for m DNSResponder, Heimdal, Pro Res, Web RTC, Auth Kit, and the Apple Neural Engine are also present.
