AT&T has acknowledged eSIM-related problems affecting a small number of iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max users. The issue prevents cellular calls from being made or received, though calls work via AT&T Wi-Fi Calling. Signal strength varies or remains on SOS only.

AppleInsider reported the problem alongside a previously noted Face ID restart bug, which is expected to be fixed in an upcoming iOS update. According to user reports, the issue began immediately after setup, and while AT&T has acknowledged it, Apple has not yet commented. Affected users are advised to contact both Apple and AT&T support to document the problem.

Some users have attempted workarounds, such as switching back to older devices, but solutions are inconsistent. AT&T also confirmed it has no plans to support Apple's new iPhone Handoff feature in iOS 27.
