Apple TV will broadcast the entire Formula 1 Austrian Grand Prix weekend free to US audiences from June 26-28, marking the first time the platform has offered a complete race weekend without subscription fees. All on-track sessions including practice, qualifying, and Sunday's main event will stream live at no cost.

The weekend schedule kicks off with Practice 1 at 7:30 a.m. Eastern on June 26, followed by Practice 2 at 11 a.m. Saturday brings Practice 3 at 6:30 a.m. and qualifying at 10 a.m., with the Austrian Grand Prix itself starting at 9 a.m. Eastern on Sunday. This covers every session fans typically pay to watch through traditional broadcasts.

Formula 1 has been steadily growing its US audience in recent years, yet following a full race weekend usually requires paid television or streaming access. Apple's free weekend strategy aims to introduce casual viewers to the sport while showcasing Apple TV's capabilities. The move follows previous free sports programming, though this promotion uniquely includes every session rather than isolated events.

Apple hasn't indicated whether additional free Formula 1 weekends will follow this Austrian Grand Prix trial. For now, US viewers have a rare opportunity to experience the complete Formula 1 weekend without paying subscription fees.
