Unaffected by RAM prices and supply chain bottlenecks, Apple's much-maligned Polishing Cloth makes a return to the Apple Store with a $10 discount. Don't buy it. In 2021, Apple announced the Polishing Cloth, a $19 cloth designed specifically to keep any of its Nano-texture displays smudge-free without any damage.

And while the internet found the price to be ludicrous, and rightfully so, it was $19 at launch; it still immediately sold out. In fact, not only did it sell out immediately, it sold out three months in advance. Afterward, when it returned in January 2022, it remained regularly available.

Now, Apple is selling its Polishing Cloth for $9, a discount of more than 50%. So if you want one, you can head to Apple's online store and pick one up. And hey, if you've got an Apple Card, you'll get 3% Daily Cash back.

That's about $0.27. Try not to spend it all in one place. By far, my personal favorite part of the Polishing Cloth listing is that Apple, for reasons known only to itself, has included a compatibility list.

And to make it even funnier, it includes more than 140 different devices, ranging from the newly released Mac Book Neo all the way back to the i Phone 5. But I do appreciate the near-exhaustive list of "devices with screens" Apple has decided to include.

The list even includes every model of Apple Watch. You pay for what you get Of course, Apple's Polishing Cloth wasn't anything special then, and it certainly isn't now. It's just a micro-suede cloth with an Apple logo stamped on it.

It's that Apple logo that commanded the $19 price tag in the first place. There doesn't appear to be any difference between the first-generation Polishing Cloth and this "new" version. If you're agnostic towards the logo, you're in a great position to save a lot of money as far as price-per-cloth goes.

Micro-suede cleaning cloths are not difficult to find. And they may be available on Prime Overnight, meaning you could be polishing whatever it is you need to polish by Wednesday morning, if need be.

Of course, the big reason people are going to buy the newly released Polishing Cloth isn't that they need it. It's going to be because of the Apple logo debossed into it. And you know what? Good for them.
