Xreal has rolled out its nebulaOS 2.0 update for the Beam Pro, calling it the most significant overhaul yet. The update introduces 3D icons that react to user presence and a refined control center for a more immersive experience. The launcher now features a cleaner UI with lively animations that respond to how users interact with the device.

Navigation has been completely reworked with optimized control panel layouts, a new Broad View for tablet-mode, and three-level content scaling. The update adds 3D SBS (side-by-side) support for mainstream streaming apps, browsers, and cloud storage services, though Xreal clarifies that content must already be in SBS 3D format to work. Screen recording has also been improved with cleaner algorithms for clearer captures.

The Beam Pro, which launched at a $200 price point two years ago, serves as a companion device for Xreal's AR glasses. It can transform Play Store apps into 3D experiences and features dual 50MP cameras for 3D photos and videos. The device pairs with Xreal's Air glasses lineup via USB-C, offering enhanced AR capabilities. This update comes alongside the Xreal and ASUS partnership that debuted the ROG Xreal R1 AR gaming glasses earlier this year.
