T‑Mobile Offers $800 Rebate to Lure Verizon and AT&T Customers

T‑Mobile is offering a fresh incentive for customers tired of long‑term payment plans. Switch from Verizon or AT&T and the carrier will send a prepaid MasterCard worth up to $800 to help pay off the phone you already own. The offer covers device eligibility checks, a screenshot of the balance, and a simple rebate form.

After submitting the form, the prepaid card should arrive within 15 days, according to T‑Mobile. Customers who keep their own device and add a line also unlock access to the Essential Savers plan for $50 a month with Auto‑Pay. The plan delivers unlimited talk, text, data, and 50 GB of premium data on T‑Mobile’s 5G network.

Switching from AT&T requires the user to pay off the device before unlocking it, meaning a small upfront cash outlay before the rebate is issued. With Verizon, the rebate can be received first, allowing the phone to be paid off later. The $800 offer eases the burden for users still on payment plans today everywhere.

This promotion gives consumers a tangible reason to leave the big two carriers without buying a new phone. By covering up to $800 of the remaining balance, T‑Mobile turns a costly ownership model into a more affordable option. The deal also reinforces T‑Mobile’s strategy of expanding its user base through incentives rather than hardware sales.
